The children at school celebrated Earth Day today. We met around the flag pole for the pledge and sharing of songs about taking care of the Earth. The First Graders song was about reduce, reuse and recycle. We read books about making every day an Earth Day. Tomorrow we will pick up litter around our school. Each grade took turns planting flowers and spreading mulch in the flower beds. It was such a beautiful day! The kids really got hot being out in the sun. It felt like a summer day!
