PTO Carnival

The PTO School Carnival will be held on Saturday, April 16. Our class will be making 2 baskets this year! The baskets are auctioned at the carnival with the money collected going back to the teachers for help in purchasing supplies and materials. Our themes are “Mother’s Day” and “Father’s Day”. Your help is needed in collecting anything that moms and dads would like. For example...the“Something for Mom” basket could include candles, room sprays, books, kitchen items, note cards, picture frames, jewelry, Bath and Body Lotions. The “Something for Dad” basket could include car cleaning supplies, fishing gear, after shave lotion, sun glasses, magazines, tools. Items are needed by Wednesday, April 13! The children may bring items to the classroom and place in the collection box. Please keep this in mind when out shopping this next week. This is one of PTO’s largest fund raisers. Your support is greatly appreciated. The kids are really looking forward to this event. Let’s make this year the best!

BANK VISIT

The First Graders enjoyed their visit to our local bank in Wakefield. While at the bank the children learned how money is counted and saved. The children thought it was pretty awesome how fast money can be counted. The drive through window and playing banker was a favorite. Banker Phil shared some of his old coins. Thank you Farmers and Merchants State Bank for a wonderful tour!
