THE SUMMER SLIDE

Children learn best when their learning is not interrupted. And summer vacation is a long interruption. Without practice, children forget facts and important, "how to" skills. They fall behind because they don't practice this skills daily. Avoid the summer slide by taking your child to the library! It is proven that reading at least 8 books can create a bridge between June and August. Summer Reading material has been sent home. Please take advantage of the opportunities at our public library! Sign up for the summer reading program and attend the storytimes. Plan to beat the "Summer Slide"!

"Promise Me You'll Always Remember....."

FAREWELL MY LITTLE BEES

I’m glad I was your teacher
I’ve come to love you so.
I can’t bee-lieve the end is here.
It’s time I let you spread your
Wings and soar.
You’re such a star
And I love you so dearly.
You put the buzz in my life
I mean that sincerely.
Remember all the fun we had
In all the things we did.
But, most of all remember..
It’s the belief in ourselves that
Helps us take flight!
Love, Mrs. Seirer
