The 100th Day of school has arrived! What a bee-zy day. The children did an awesome job displaying their collections. Grades K-5 came to visit and we treated them with a cupcake. I'll have pictures to post soon. We traveled to Lincoln School to celebrate with all of our first graders in the district. We have 97 first graders in our school district! We counted, sang songs, listened to a story about teaching a dog 100 words, performed 100 exercises, and made new friends. I'm very proud to announce that all 20 students wrote numbers to 1,000 and were recognized today! Cheers to you Number Club winners! I hope your child shared the events of our day with you when they got home. I'm sure the children are in bed early tonight!

Please remind your child to dress western on Thursday. We will celebrate Kansas Day. The 4th graders have invited us to their "Happy Birthday Kansas" play in the morning. Do you know how old our state will be? Ask your child to tell you.

Also, a reminder that Friday we will read at the Nursing Home. The children will need to be dresssed warm with hats, gloves and good warm coats. Please encourage your child to bring books to share with their reading buddy.

In closing, THANK YOU PARENTS for all the cupcakes you baked! We had enough for grades K-5 and extras to treat those who helped us get ready for this special day. I even have extra cupcakes left for snacks on Wednesday for the first graders! THANK YOU for all you have done to make the past 100 days in First Grade so wonderful! Your support and time are invaluable in our partnership!
